At the Old Mill Veterinary Surgery, we have created a new branch to our practice to provide a broader spectrum of service to our clients and their more unusual pets. The Old Mill Vet Surgery welcomes the introduction of Northside Avian and Exotics Veterinary Services headed by Dr. Tania Bishop. Dr Tania Bishop brings with her a wealth of experience, varying from private practice exotic animal work to wildlife and zoo work as well as university lecturing positions.

Dr Bishop obtained her membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Surgeons in Avian Medicine in 2006 and is currently enrolled in a Masters of Conservation Biology at Murdoch University. Prior to this, she has worked between zoos and private exotic practices for the last 9 years.

We provide a full spectrum of medical, pathology, dental and surgical services as well as husbandry and preventative medicine services for exotic pets ranging from birds, rats and mice to turtles, frogs and snakes. We also have a dedicated ward with heated hospital cages to accommodate the specific medical needs of your furry, feathered or scaly pets.
